DGDA registration
Pharmaceutical companies in Bangladesh (DGDA registry list)
Every medicine in the DGDA registry is linked to the company that makes it. This guide explains what the registry says about manufacturers, which companies have the most registered products in our snapshot, and how to browse each company's full product list.
Where the company list comes from
The Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS) publishes the national DGDA drug registry and states that the data is owned by the Directorate General of Drug Administration (DGDA). Each registered product in it is linked to a manufacturer. The company pages on this site are built by grouping the products in a dated snapshot of that registry by manufacturer.
In the DGDA registry snapshot used on this site there are 276 manufacturers, together making 36,328 registered products across 1,520 generics.
Companies with the most registered products
In the DGDA registry snapshot used on this site, these five companies have the most registered products:
- Incepta Pharmaceuticals Ltd.: 1,562 products
- Square Pharmaceuticals PLC: 1,413 products
- Opsonin Pharma Limited: 1,260 products
- Drug International Ltd.: 1,190 products
- Beximco Pharmaceuticals Ltd.: 1,012 products
These figures count registry entries, not sales, market share or quality. One brand can have several entries, for example one for each strength and dosage form, so a company with many entries does not necessarily sell more medicine. The ranking is a description of the registry, not a recommendation.

What a company page shows
- The company's name as recorded in the registry.
- Every product registered under that name in our snapshot, with brand name, generic, strength and dosage form.
- Links to each product's page, where you can see its DAR number.
Some companies appear in the registry under more than one name, for example separate units or subsidiaries. Each registered name has its own entry, so a group of related companies can appear as several separate rows.
Example: Square Pharmaceuticals PLC product list
What the list does not include
- Prices: none have been verified, so none are shown.
- Contact details, factory addresses or ratings of companies.
- Any judgement about which company's products are better.
- Products registered, changed or cancelled after the snapshot date.
Many companies make brands of the same generic. If you want to understand why one active ingredient can have hundreds of brands, see our separate guide.
Why one generic has hundreds of brands in Bangladesh
A company's name on a pack does not tell you whether a medicine is right for you. Ask a registered doctor or pharmacist before starting, stopping or changing any medicine.
